Orlando (Fla.) Health has rebranded Birmingham, Ala.-based Brookwood Baptist Health as Baptist Health, with the system’s five hospitals adopting new names as part of the change:

  • Brookwood Baptist Medical Center is now Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital
  • Princeton Baptist Medical Center is now Baptist Health Princeton Hospital
  • Shelby Baptist Medical Center is now Baptist Health Shelby Hospital
  • Walker Baptist Medical Center is now Baptist Health Walker Hospital
  • Citizens Baptist Medical Center is now Baptist Health Citizens Hospital

Orlando Health acquired Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare’s 70% ownership stake in the 1,700-bed system for about $910 million, effective Oct. 1. Orlando Health manages day-to-day operations of the system in partnership with Baptist Health System.
