Last month, the United States Supreme Court heard oral arguments for California v. Texas, a case that will decide the fate of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the tens of millions of Americans whose health depends directly on this law.

As doctors working amidst growing inequity laid bare by the coronavirus pandemic, we have seen firsthand what the ACA has done for our patients, especially for those who were previously denied access to healthcare due to high costs or pre-existing conditions. This law is instrumental in ensuring that our patients can access the prescription drugs we prescribe.
