Oregon Health & Science University’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland has received a $16 million gift to establish a clinic for pediatric neuromuscular disorders.

Five things to know:

1. The $16 million donation is the largest private donation in the hospital’s 98-year history, according to a Dec. 6 news release from the system.

2. The clinic, which will be established as the Ramberg Ford Pediatric Neuromuscular Disorders Center, will focus on multidisciplinary patient care, family support and clinical research.
