The Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework has joined the Linux Foundation as one of its projects, marking an important step for the cybersecurity community. This move aims to support OCSF’s mission of developing an open, extensible standard to tackle persistent issues of data normalization and interoperability in the industry.

Initially co-founded by AWS and Splunk, OCSF has seen considerable growth since its inception in 2022, and joining the Linux Foundation is intended to further support this progress by providing additional resources and a broader platform. This development follows the initial launch of OCSF in 2022 and the one-year anniversary of OCSF’s progress in 2023.
