Nvidia enters the AI software business. They are now competing directly with their biggest customers. The performance of its AI model, Llama-3.1-Nemotron-70B-Instruct, exceeds that of OpenAI’s GPT-4 and Anthropic’s Claude 3.5, positioning Nvidia as a serious player in the AI software space. Open AI, Microsoft and others talk loudly about competing with Nvidia with their own hardware. Apparently Nvidia was listening. This could reshape the ongoing AI arms race. Tens of billions of dollars are being invested with one purpose: to be your agent, at work and at home.
