A new national index showing levels of job satisfaction among nurses has Michigan Medicine and Houston Methodist tied for the top spot overall, at least within the “hospitals and health systems” subcategory.

On the other hand, the list comprises 200 of the largest entities employing nurses, and these include non-hospital employers.

When opened to display all entities, the index shows travel nursing companies dominating the leader board for the overall ratings.

Other employer categories include home healthcare providers, operators of senior living facilities and staffing agencies.

Drill-down categories, each of which has its own ratings, include organizational support, compensation, workload and toxicity of culture.
