NQF roadmaps details ways reducing health disparities among marginalized populations using quality measures.

The National Quality Forum (NQF) released a roadmap outlining ways to use quality measures to improve health equity nationwide.

“The health equity roadmap gives the nation a blueprint to eliminate healthcare disparities,” said NQF President and CEO Shantanu Agrawal, MD. “NQF will support stakeholders in implementing these action steps through a new NQF Health Equity Program that will be launched in mid-October.”

Using funding from HHS, NQF convened a group of experts to develop a roadmap demonstrating how performance measures can be useful in improving health outcomes by incorporating social risk factors often inordinately affecting marginalized populations
