I watched the interview with Sam Altman by Andrew Ross Sorkin of the New York Times. It seemed like a fundamental way station in the story that people are telling about large language models and related technology.

Here are some of the main points that stood out to me about the journey, and how it has informed not just business, but society as a whole.
