Bellingham, Washington-based Northwest Radiologists is joining Strategic Radiology, an independent coalition of imaging groups, the two announced on Thursday.

The 20-physician practice is the second Evergreen State group to join SR following in the footsteps of Skagit Radiology in Mount Vernon.

“In joining Strategic Radiology, we aim to remain competitive in our market and thrive as an independent physician-owned practice,” Stephen Buetow, MD, president of Northwest Radiologists, said in a June 13 announcement.

The radiology group serves four PeaceHealth hospitals, providing subspeciality interpretations across the Washington communities of Bellingham, Friday Harbor and Sedro Woolley, along with Ketchikan, Alaska.
