Accounts of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare usually focus on the transformation of clinical care processes such as diagnosis and treatment. Many researchers, startups, and established technology firms are focused on curing cancer, developing precision medicine using genomic and other data, and automating medical image scanning.
