A group of healthcare experts provides mentorship for startups through the Healthworx Accelerator program.

In a July 8 press release, Baltimore-based Healthworx, the innovation and investment arm of CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, a health plan serving 3.5 million members in the Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia conurbations, announced its reimagined accelerator for healthcare startups seeking funding and mentorship.

According to the press release, Healthworx Accelerator builds upon its predecessor, 1501 Health. The twelve-week program is designed to give startups the tools to break into healthcare markets.
