Omaha-based Nebraska Medicine has signed a new multiyear, multimillion-dollar deal with data analytics company Palantir to predict hospital bed necessity, manage the supply chain and make staffing recommendations.

Nebraska Medicine started working with Palantir in January and became the fastest-ever health system to adopt its platform, the company said. The system has already experienced a 2,000% increase in discharge lounge utilization and sent more than 1,200 artificial intelligence-generated appeal letters to payers.
