AI adoption in healthcare is accelerating, with a growing number of hospitals implementing the technology in different areas of their operations. However, many hospitals are not investing in AI governance, something that could negatively impact their AI initiatives and future technological success.

AI governance is underfunded in healthcare

In a new report from Black Book Research, researchers surveyed 182 hospital leaders between Oct. 15 and Nov. 8, 2025, about their current AI governance strategy.
