Advanced practice nurses in Mississippi could see their roles expand, allowing for full scope of practice authority as soon as July if lawmakers there back the proposal.

The proposed change, Senate Bill 2079, is currently part of the Mississippi Legislature’s 2024 regular session and is currently under review by the Public Health and Welfare committee. It requires a majority vote to pass and would go into effect...
