In 2024, 32.8 million people are enrolled in Medicare Advantage, or 54% of the eligible Medicare population.

The share of Medicare beneficiaries in MA plans by state ranges from 2% to 63%, according to KFF. In seven states, 60% or more of all Medicare beneficiaries are enrolled in an MA plan, up from 3 states in 2023.
