  • Masimo has published a retrospective analysis that found its pulse oximeter is accurate in Black patients with low perfusion or pulse strength.
  • The Food and Drug Administration has warned that certain factors, including skin pigmentation and low perfusion, can affect pulse oximeter accuracy.
