Maryland legislators are considering a bill that would allow people to purchase insurance on Maryland’s health insurance exchange, regardless of their immigration status.

The bill passed the Maryland House 101-34 on Feb. 23.

The legislation would require the state to seek a waiver from the federal government to allow noncitizens to purchase insurance on the ACA exchange, Maryland Matters reported Feb. 22....
