Rochester, N.Y., and Rio Grande City Texas, have the highest rates of Medicare Advantage adoption, according to an analysis from Chartis.

The analysis, published March 23, is based on CMS Medicare Advantage enrollment data.

Here are the metropolitan areas where more than 65 percent of Medicare-eligible people choose Medicare Advantage:

  • Rochester, N.Y.: 73 percent
  • Rio Grande City-Roma, Texas: 73 percent
  • Hutchinson, Minn.: 72 percent
  • Johnstown, Pa.: 72 percent
  • McAllen-Edinburg-Mission, Texas: 72 percent
  • Appleton, Wis.: 72 percent
  • Grand Rapids-Kentwood, Mich.: 71 percent
  • Holland, Mich.: 71 percent
  • El Paso, Texas: 71 percent
  • Raymondville, Texas: 70 percent
  • Muskegon, Mich.: 69 percent
  • Greensboro-High Point, N.C.: 69 percent
