In today’s column, I examine a newly released policy letter by numerous state-level attorneys general that brashly says AI makers need to up their game when it comes to how their AI is impacting societal mental health. The classic techie adage of moving fast and breaking things is not suitable for matters involving national mental health. Period, end of story.

Actually, there is a lot more to the story in the sense that the policy letter provides sixteen specific changes or practices that the AGs would like to see implemented.
