Epic says MyChart Central simplifies the user experience with a single sign-in and a united view across organizations

Louisiana is the first state to launch statewide access of Epic’s MyChart Central, which allows patients who receive care from multiple providers who use the Epic EHR to have a single portal log-in to access their medical records, communicate with care teams, and manage their care.

Louisiana’s statewide launch follows an initial activation of MyChart Central in Madison, Wisc., where health systems collaborated on a citywide go-live. Epic said that later this year the capability will expand nationwide, allowing patients across the U.S. to connect their MyChart accounts through one Epic ID.
