The smartphone-enabled COVID-19 test kit will be the first rapid coronavirus test that can be fully performed using only a smartphone and a lateral flow assay.

Kroger Health recently partnered with Gauss to offer the first smartphone-enabled, at-home rapid COVID-19 antigen test kit.

The test kit will be the first rapid COVID-19 test that can be fully performed using only a smartphone and a lateral flow assay. It can also be used without laboratory tools, a telemedicine visit, or any specialized electronics.

Once granted FDA emergency use authorization, the test will be available to patients nationwide. The affordable testing technology was developed by Gauss, a vision-aided healthcare diagnostics company, and will be offered by retail healthcare organization Kroger Health....
