Kaiser Permanente reported a decline in health plan membership, driven by slowed job growth.

In the nonprofit’s 2023 earnings report published Feb. 9, Kaiser Permanente reported a decline of 51,000 members year over year, due to the “slowing pace of job growth and other economic factors.” The non-profit’s total health plan membership was 12.5 million.
