Steven Lin, M.D., founder and executive director of the Stanford Health Care Al Applied Research Team, is excited about the potential for artificial intelligence in healthcare, but he wants to see a greater focus on primary care.

Speaking during December’s Primary Care Transformation Summit, Lin noted that only 3 percent of FDA-approved AI tools are intended for primary care. The vast majority are in the specialty areas.
