Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health has launched Epic across its 33 hospitals and six-state footprint.

The health system went live Sept. 6 with the new EHR, two years after signing a deal to switch to the vendor from Oracle Health.

“We put substantial support in place, including ‘around-the-clock’ command centers, at‑the‑elbow and super‑user coverage, and an Epic coaching hotline to help caregivers during the first weeks,” Intermountain Chief Digital and Information Officer Ryan Smith told Becker’s. “The result is a single, connected EHR for our patients and caregivers, delivered on schedule, with continuous improvements happening every week.”
