It’s been a remarkable week in the world of AI, punctuated by the announcement of the Stargate Project. The future of this important technology is unfolding in many dimensions—political, financial, and technological—and the proposed $500 billion Stargate Project, announced at the White House, has sent the AI hype fest into cosmic overdrive.

On the surface, Stargate serves up more red meat for the animal spirits of AI. But ironically, at the same time it highlights the many questions about the AI market.
