Improved State-Level Disability Data Are Necessary For Advancing Health Equity

The expanded collection and availability of disability data at the state level will help inform state policy makers about health and societal outcomes for people with disabilities; in particular, prevalence of disability, distribution and impact of social determinants of health, disability disparities in health outcomes, and barriers to health care and participation in society.
