Humana’s CenterWell pharmacy said it will dispense GLP-1 weight loss drugs made by Eli Lilly and Company as part of a new program for employers to help their workers manage obesity.

Humana and CenterWell’s effort to work with employers more closely on drug costs was discussed last month by Humana chief executive officer Jim Rechtin at the Forbes Healthcare Summit in New York in an appearance with the entrepreneur Mark Cuban on ways to improve patient’s pharmacy experience. This new CenterWell effort doesn’t involve a potential Humana partnership with Cuban’s Cost Plus Drugs that is under separate discussions.

But the idea is part of Rechtin’s vision to simplify the pharmacy experience and take unnecessary steps out of the prescription process...
