More than 180 medical centers and hospitals have adopted ambient technology integrated with Epic Systems’ software, The Cap Times reported Aug. 9.

Garrett Adams, a lead software developer for AI projects at Epic Systems, said the company’s software employs generative AI across approximately 100 different applications. These include assisting nurses with drafting patient communications and summarizing patient medical histories.
