Trade association America’s Health Insurance Plans published its state-by-state report on health coverage Nov. 12.

The organization identified 697,928 health plan employees and 1,301,167 insurance-related employees across the country based on U.S. Census Bureau 2022 data.

More recently, a handful of payers have been cutting jobs this year.

Here are how many health plan employees work in each state, plus the District of Columbia:
