Businesses across the globe are wrestling with the ongoing and evolving threat of ransomware, with recent victims including food, mining and even technology companies. However, ransomware isn’t just a “corporate” problem: Multiple healthcare organizations, school districts and city governments were hit with ransomware attacks in 2023 and the first half of 2024, with impacts including leaks of sensitive data, disruptions to city services and delayed medical procedures.
