Reducing our carbon footprint requires full commitment to the electrification of industry. This means moving away from technologies powered by fossil fuels to those running on clean energy sources and the quickest solution is digitalization.

Fully electrifying manufacturing facilities, ports and other industries without a massive investment in new transmission and distribution infrastructure sounds tough. But digital technologies, underpinned by robust communications networks, can help modernize the way we operate our current grid. And by also using new sustainable resources as well as working in partnership with other players – like governments and technologists – industries can begin to reduce our collective carbon footprint.
