If Congress works to integrate the USPS address standardization tool, patient matching could increase up to 3 percent and COVID-19 contact tracing could improve.

The Pew Charitable Trusts penned a letter to Congress about the importance of patient matching and how utilizing the US Postal Service (USPS) address standardization tool could boost COVID-19 contact tracing and increase the impact of a future vaccine rollout.

Congress has made major investments into an effective COVID-19 response, highlighted by a distribution of over $2.5 trillion to various agencies, states, and drug manufacturers, the letter states.
