President Donald J. Trump was inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States on Jan. 20, 2025. After delivering his Inaugural Address and addressing supporters in a subsequent speech, President Trump signed five executive orders (EOs) from the Oval Office, which included: 22 cabinet appointments, 47 sub-cabinet appointments, 31 acting designations to “take control of the government,” 15 commission chair appointments and an order mandating that flags to be flown at full mast on this Inauguration Day and all future inauguration days. Following the Inaugural lunch, President Trump signed eight additional EOs at his post-inaugural rally.
