Highlights of FY 2022 IPPS Final Rule

The Medicare Hospital Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) final rule for fiscal year (FY) 2022 was published in the August 13^th edition of the Federal Register. This final rule is effective October 1, 2021. On June 24th, AHIMA submitted comments in response to the proposed rule.

Changes to Specific MS-DRG Classifications

Due to the number of MS-DRG classification changes for FY 2022, only a few of the changes are highlighted below.
