Healthgrades on Tuesday released its annual “America’s Best Hospitals Awards,” which recognizes the top 250 hospitals in the country.
About the list
The America’s Best Hospitals list encompasses three awards:
- America’s 250 Best Hospitals, which represent the top 5% of hospitals in the United States
- America’s 100 Best Hospitals, which represent the top 2% of hospitals in the United States
- America’s 50 Best Hospitals, which represent the top 1% of hospitals in the United States
To determine the winners, Healthgrades used Medicare data from 2021-2023 to evaluate roughly 4,500 hospitals on how well they performed in 30 of the most common procedures and conditions.
