In today’s environment, data is collected across everything we do. For every click, swipe, tap, or search we perform, at least one data point is generated. It is estimated that every human is generating 1.7 megabytes (MB) of data per second with our day-to-day technological usage, and healthcare data is no exception. Knowing this, we have to ask ourselves, how can the health information management profession tap into this data to help drive meaningful clinical and administrative organizational goals and outcomes?
