TECH COMMITTEE TO REGROUP — A key federal advisory committee on advancing health tech is set to resume meetings after a yearlong pause, POLITICO’s Ruth Reader reports.

The Trump administration halted the Health Information Technology Advisory Committee’s meetings amid major changes to HHS early last year and will resume on Feb. 19. It’s unclear why the Trump administration initially halted the meetings, and an HHS spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The panel advises the Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy/Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology — also known as ONC — on formulating rules and guidance for sharing health data. The panel recently lost both...
