As hospital IT departments strive to keep up with user demands for new technologies, many are turning to third-party staffing firms to fill critical roles. But according to a new report from KLAS, organizations overwhelmingly favor expertise over pricing when choosing their staffing partners.

Quality First, Price Second

Among the 173 health system executives surveyed, 88% cited expertise as the most important factor in staffing decisions, with 58% naming it their top priority. While pricing remains a consideration—particularly amid budget pressures—it rarely leads the decision-making process. Strong firm relationships, responsiveness, and speed to placement were also highlighted as key differentiators, the report said.
