COMPETING PROPOSALS — House Republican leaders have a plan to curb rising health care costs — and it doesn’t include an extension of the expiring enhanced Affordable Care Act tax credits. But vulnerable and moderate Republican members eager to support an extension might still get a shot to go on the record with a vote.

“The process” for considering House leadership’s package “will allow” a vote on an amendment to prevent the subsidies from lapsing Dec. 31, a House GOP leadership aide, granted anonymity to share the unannounced plans, told POLITICO’s Meredith Lee Hill. The package is expected to be put on the floor this week.
