An at-home DNA kit helps people choose a strategy for improving hair health.

Happy Head, a company specializing in hair preservation and restoration, has launched the StrandIQ System, a DNA-based approach to promoting hair growth.

The StrandIQ System includes a DNA Starter Kit, an at-home cheek swab to decode how a person’s unique biology may influence hair and scalp health.

By using individual genetic analysis, the company says that, in just a couple of weeks, customers will receive customized reports that translate genetic predispositions into actionable insights – including how the body processes specific nutrients, such as biotin, to understand potential sensitivities to common botanical and chemical growth ingredients, such as minoxidil, finasteride and dutasteride.
