Google’s Care Studio, an EHR search tool, unveiled Oct. 17 that is launching a mobile app for clinicians.

Five things to know:

  1. Clinicians can use the Care Studio app to look at patients’ medical records. Clinicians can view physician notes, lab results and check on a patient’s progress from a smartphone from a hospital corridor, a patient’s bedside and other locations.
  2. The app is designed to prevent clinicians from being overloaded with data on a small screen. It also summarizes what has changed since the last time the clinician viewed the chart.
