The Federal Trade Commission is seeking more funds to investigate matters involving healthcare data and privacy.

In the FTC’s 2024 budget proposal, the organization is asking for a total of $590 million, a $160 million budget increase from 2022.

As the FTC looks to increase its moves to crack down on healthcare organizations and startups who may be risking the privacy of sensitive medical data, it is seeking more funds.
