The second year of health innovation conference HLTH gave industry a peek behind the curtain of Google’s healthcare ambitions and how the telehealth industry could evolve in coming years. Uber scored a huge win through a Cerner EHR integration, Facebook rolled out a preventive health tool and Kaiser Permanente launched a program to combat food insecurity in California.

On the government side, Trump administration officials teased more deregulation, promised industry would be happy with an incoming innovation official and touted their healthcare record at HLTH, but (despite repeated warnings) failed to fully stamp out “Medicare for All” interest in the private sector.
