Should fee-for-service payment disappear? It would if Adam Boehler had his way.

“I’d like to banish fee-for-service; I’d like to banish the ‘revenue cycle,'” Boehler, director of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), said at a briefing here Thursday. “How much time do doctors spend documenting and coding for revenue? That’s a terrible system.”
