This announcement will allow state medicaid plans to cover leucovorin, making the therapeutic available to treat cerebral folate deficiency in autism. What Is Leucovorin?

Leucovorin is a prescription form of vitamin B9, called folinic acid. It has been used since the 1950s to treat certain types of anemia that result from folate deficiency or as a way to protect healthy cells from the impact of certain chemotherapy drugs.
