Google Cloud is enhancing its Vertex AI search platform for healthcare with multimodal AI capabilities. Specifically, it will be launching Visual Q&A, a new feature which will enable search through tables, charts and diagrams.
Why is this important? Because healthcare, as much as it would like to be, has not comprehensively digitized yet, and patient records and information are often scattered across numerous data sources and types.
