Elevance Health has completed its acquisition of Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health’s health plan.

With the closure of the deal that was first announced in September, IU Health Plans will now operate as part of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Indiana, according to a Dec. 31 Anthem news release.

IU Health Plans serves 19,000 Medicare Advantage members across 36 counties and 9,600 fully insured commercial members through employers.
