Eastern Radiologists, a physician-owned imaging group based in Greenville, North Carolina, has joined Strategic Radiology, a national coalition of independent radiology practices.

The move adds 68 radiologists to the Strategic Radiology network, which now includes more than 2,100 physicians across the U.S. The coalition offers its members access to shared quality improvement programs, benchmarking data, and group purchasing opportunities. It also manages the Strategic Radiology Patient Safety Organization (SR-PSO), which supports efforts around clinical quality and risk management.

Eastern Radiologists was founded in 1954 and provides a range of diagnostic and interventional services across eastern North Carolina. The practice operates multiple outpatient imaging centers and delivers hospital-based services that include MR, CT, ultrasound, X-ray, mammography, and vascular procedures.
