Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Health System will be the first healthcare provider to adopt a new real-time data tool from GE HealthCare for its hospital command center.

The three-hospital system, which has used GE HealthCare’s Command Center Software since 2019, plans to deploy the health tech company’s Hospital Pulse Tile to provide operations leaders with artificial intelligence-powered data to manage patient flow and capacity throughout the day. That could include comparing the number of emergency department admissions to historical averages or displaying recent maximum post-anesthesia boarding times.
