Duke Health researchers have developed an AI model that can accurately predict if adolescents are at high risk for future serious mental health issues before their symptoms become severe.

The model identified underlying causes of mental illness, such as sleep disturbances or family conflict, that could be used to prescribe interventions, according to a March 5 news release.
